Tonight after finishing all my Calc III homework, I watched a Japanese surfer movie with my close friend Michael. This movie is called 'a scene at the sea' and its about a deaf Japanese garbage man learning how to surf with support with his also deaf girlfriend. Ultimately the atmosphere of the movie was very chill and gloomy but in the way a foggy day is gloomy. ( Personally I love a gloomy foggy day that might add to why I loved the movie along with the soundtrack)

SPOILERS BELOW!!!!!!!

The ending of the movie genuinely had Michael and I broken. At the end of the movie after a big surfing competition, he is seen surfing then it pans to his girlfriend then back to the beach where his board is slowly revealed washed up on shore... he drowned, the rest of the movie follows his girlfriend and some of the side characters after before a montage of 'Shigeru' and his connections. Lowkey almost cried.
